YouTube and China Geography team work together to launch three VR series videos

On December 6, YouTube is working with China National Geographic to launch three VR projects, the first of which will debut on December 11.The first VR episode, entitled "The Okavango Experience", will lead the audience to explore the Okavango Delta in Africa, where there are a variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions and hundreds of birds. A total of four episodes, each episode is about five minutes.

The first episode will be released on National Geographic's YouTube channel, YouTube site and Google Daydream VR app on December 11.The remaining episodes will be released every Tuesday, once a week.National Geographic and YouTube will also release two more VR video series in 2019. It is understood that YouTube has long added the virtual reality series to its column, and National Geographic has been exploring VR video. YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki said that YouTube will pay close attention to technologies such as AR and VR, and is committed to building closer relationships with the audience.Jenna Pirog, National Geographic's senior director of video and immersive experience, said in a statement: "National Geography has been pushing the boundaries of visual narrative."
